* Sadly the project has been put on hold due to COVID 19, but we hope to resume when appropriate. We will keep you posted.

VISIT FROM UCA FARNHAM SCHOOL OF ART & DESIGN / WORK EXPERIENCE WITH 2nd YEAR BA FINE ART STUDENT MELISSA GOLDSWAIN / APRIL 2019

It was a pleasure to welcome a young sculptor, 2nd Yr fine art student from the University of Creative Arts - Farnham, UK, Melissa Goldswain to the studio in Andalucia for a week of work experience during an unseasonably cold April in Spain. She had a particular interest in Aisling's recent work in Bronze, and could assist with her enthusiasm and good technical knowledge in some plaster mold-making and wax extruding, among other things.

Thanks again Melissa, Come back anytime!

Check out Melissa's in-depth blog for more information on her work and visit.

Melissa & Aisling after a busy week in the studio

Some words from Melissa's Studio Blog ...

"Aisling’s house is in a village in the Spanish mountains ... Just like everywhere in these mountains just getting there is an adventure in itself...This experience felt like a once in a lifetime. It didn’t even feel like work, I learned so much, about sculpture, selling yourself and your work. The experience really fed my mind. I got a wealth of inspiration on what I can potentially make and how. The land was incredibly inspiring and felt beautiful being there. A refreshing experience where both me and Aisling learned so much and I am incredibly grateful to her to have been able to make the experience possible."
